The Local Realtors|April 28, 2022

Fairfield, Connecticut, is a fantastic place to live with its diverse surroundings, endless amounts of things to do, and it’s the perfect city for a family of any size. Below are just some of the reasons Fairfield is so charming and why you should consider investing in real estate there, now!

The Properties Have High Values

The median home value in Fairfield is $673,695, with the highest average annual appreciation rate of 2.28 percent. It also has a high homeowner rate of 76.5. These numbers make it an excellent investment with selling potential in the future.

Having a lot of homeowners in a town makes it ideal for prospective buyers since they don’t have to worry about a large turnover rate in neighbors. It was also listed high on Niche.com’s list of Best Places to Buy a House, Best Places to Live, and Best Places for Families in Fairfield County in 2021. All of these things make it a prime piece of real estate for potential buyers or for you to keep in the family for years to come.

Fantastic School System

Fairfield has a great school system for kids of all ages. Niche.com even awarded it an A+ report card scoring it extremely high in academics, teachers, college prep, administration, clubs and activities, and health and safety. It was ranked in the top 5 districts with the best teachers in Connecticut with a student-teacher ratio of 11:1 and has a 96 percent graduation rate.

You can send your kids off to school knowing they are in good hands and getting an amazing education to prepare them for their lives ahead.

It’s Close To Large Cities

While you get to live in a more suburban area, you aren’t too far away from some fantastic cities where you can spend a night on the town. If you want to stay in the Connecticut area, New Haven is only a 30-minute drive, and Hartford is only an hour away. If you're going to venture outside of the state, New York City is only about an hour drive or an hour-and-a-half train ride.

You can easily escape for a day or weekend to any of these cities and take in some sightseeing, a show, dinner and drinks, or anything else they have to offer. You get all of the perks of living in a suburban neighborhood while still being able to enjoy the faster-paced lifestyle whenever your heart desires.

Lots of Outdoor Activities

There are so many different natural surroundings in Fairfield. From the coast to forests, parks, and residential areas, every day will bring a new adventure and excitement.

There are over five miles of coastline along Lake Mohegan for you to enjoy, whether you spend the day strolling down the beach and enjoying the views, sunbathing, or participating in water activities like swimming or boating. This area is extremely popular with those wanting to cool off in the water during the summer. There are lifeguards positioned up and down the beach so you can enjoy a whole family day of fun knowing there is someone there to make sure you all stay safe. There is also a playground, snack bar, picnic areas, restroom facilities, and a free parking lot. If you want to take a break from the water, there are tons of hiking trails to explore the vast wilderness Fairfield offers.
