Beachy Connecticut community that offers charming small-town feel and lively atmosphere

Fairfield County, CT Real Estate

Tucked in between Bridgeport and Stamford lies one of Connecticut’s most beloved and desirable neighborhoods. Consistently voted one of the best places to live in the Northeast, Fairfield offers residents a charming community with small-town feels, a lively, beachy lifestyle, and all the luxurious amenities residents could expect from this affluent and idyllic area.

Originally a small, rural township, Darien did not begin to really bloom until well after the Revolutionary War. During this time, it grew as an agricultural hub. However, after the Civil War, the town became known as a playground for Manhattan’s wealthiest families, with many building grand estates and mansions to use as their summer homes on the community’s beautiful coastline.

Originally one of the two principal settlements in the Connecticut Colony, Fairfield has played an important role throughout U.S. history, from the Revolutionary War to today, resulting in the community having numerous historical sites and landmarks throughout. Additionally, the countless architectural styles seen in the area are a direct reflection of this unique community. Homeowners can find everything from classic Colonials, Victorians, Mediterranean estates, and even Mid-century Modern designs - ensuring that there’s a perfect fit for everyone.
